Motor Accident Solicitors Society - Charities

MASS and Charities

Despite being a non profit making organisation, MASS work is not only confined to lobbying and supporting victims of road traffic accidents in our own right, but also to assist those invaluable charities who support victims with specific injuries and campaign for safer roads.

The Members of MASS raise money (both collectively and individually) each year, which goes to a charity of our choice. Our donation is usually used to fund or part-fund a specific project that will assist the injured victim or help to educate road users. We also help with any legal advice that may be required.

MASS SPONSORED CHARITY 2008 - BRAKE

BRAKE websiteBRAKE is an organisation that assists the victims of road traffic accidents and their families during that very vulnerable post-accident period. BRAKE has produced several comprehensive booklets covering a wide range of topics, which are given to accident victims by the police. They have been designed to help alleviate the problems experienced by people injured, traumatised and bereaved by providing counselling services and advice ranging from coping with grief to legal procedures. MASS has made a valuable contribution in helping to write and update these booklets and through speaking to victims themselves, know how beneficial they are.

As with all charities, funds are always needed to assist with this vital work. BRAKE would like to offer their sincere thanks to all the MASS Members for their contributions throughout the year and the fundraising at the MASS Conference Dinner from the ‘Heads & Tails’ game and the popular Charity Auction. There was a range of fabulous prizes for which we thank all donators and winners alike!

MASS is pleased to announce that the amount raised at the MASS 2007 Conference was over £10,000 and we are hoping to raise more during 2008 which will all go towards to worthwhile project.
