MASS MOTOR ACCIDENT

We are a non-profit society

Charities MASS Supports

Despite being a non profit making organisation, MASS work is not only confined to lobbying and supporting victims of road traffic accidents in our own right, but also to assist those invaluable charities who support victims with specific injuries and campaign for safer roads.

The Members of MASS raise money (both collectively and individually) each year, which goes to a charity of our choice. Our donation is usually used to fund or part-fund a specific project that will assist the injured victim or help to educate road users. We also help with any legal advice that may be required.

MASS Sponsored Charity 2010 - The Children’s Trust

The Children’s Trust is a national charity working with children who have multiple disabilities and complex health needs. The Trust offers a unique combination of skills and experience in meeting the complex needs of children with profound disabilities. Whilst offering a wide range of services, some of them include:

  • Short, medium and long term residential care and therapy
  • Community-based rehabilitation for children returning to home/school after a brain injury
  • Short breaks (either at their site in Tadworth or in the family home)
  • Hospice/palliative care

Childrens Trust

This year work will begin on an attractive family building and garden on the Trust’s site, to enable them to offer accommodation to a greater number of parents. The building will be sited a short distance from the children’s houses, which will enable parents staying at the Trust to spend time with their child in a ‘home from home’ environment. The family accommodation will be a place for parents to sleep, have a break and “wind down” at the end of long and stressful days.

MASS is delighted to have so far raised £9000 for The Children’s Trust which will go towards furnishing this accommodation for the families of the children the Trust cares for.
