What does in-house legal training involve? – April 2019

In-house training means that MASS Training will come to your office and deliver training specific to your needs.

Do I need to do anything?

The beauty of in-house training is that we do almost everything for you. Almost. There are a few things that we need your help with. If you book an in-house training course with us, we will discuss these requirements with you in more detail. However, you will need to provide –

  • A room suitable for training, meaning it comfortably seats all the delegates and the trainer. Ideally there should be some space so the trainer can walk about the room, and so that you can split off into groups when it comes to group discussions/exercises.
  • A flip-chart or whiteboard and pens
  • Refreshments, such as tea and coffee

If you are concerned that you do not have the space to accommodate a training day, consider whether there are any law firms nearby who you can team up with. If so, they might be willing to host the training day, and you can share the costs with them.

What do we do?

Otherwise, we pretty much do everything else. We provide the trainer – all MASS trainers are experts in their field, so you can rest assured of their quality and professionalism. We also provide all the course materials, devise the course content and provide a checklist of what to expect from the training.

What in-house training is available?

You have two options available.

Firstly, you can select one of our ‘off-the-shelf’ courses. These are training courses we have already put together and frequently deliver to delegates. You have a choice of half-day courses, full-day courses, and the MASS Diploma in Personal Injury which takes place over six sessions.

Take a look at our training courses to see if anything piques your interest. If so, let us know and we can discuss availability.

Secondly, you can ask for something a little more bespoke. We understand that an off-the-shelf course might not meet your exact needs. If so, just tell us what you’re after. As we are coming to you, we can tailor the day specifically for you and your team.

Why choose in-house training?

Being able to adapt the day to meet your requirements is a huge advantage of in-house training. On top of that, you do not have to leave the office, meaning no early morning travel arrangements, no costly train tickets and no time spent away from the office. Sounds ideal, right?
