Our structure
MASS is a national non-profit making organisation with members throughout England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. In order to best engage and involve our members MASS is divided into 12 regions, each with its own elected Regional Co-ordinator.
Regional Co-ordinators have responsibility for arranging regular regional meetings, interviewing prospective new members, generally keeping their regional members engaged and informed as well as being part of our Management Committee.
MASS is overall managed by a Management Committee, elected by the Membership, which is made up of a Chairman, Vice Chair, Treasurer, 12 Regional Co-ordinators and our Executive Director. Previous Chairs remain on the Management Committee for 2 years as Honorary Members.
The Management Committee meet quarterly to discuss:
• policy of the Society
• finances
• feedback from regional members
• required work – ranging from responding to consultation papers and attending meetings on behalf of MASS
