The voice of industry
About MASS
MASS promotes the highest standards of legal services through education and representation in the pursuit of justice for victims of road traffic accidents.
Who we are
About MASS
The Motor Accident Solicitors Society is a membership organisation for road traffic accident claims experts. As a non-profit organisation formed in 1991, we’re widely known as the expert voice on all matters relating to RTA claims.
Our members widely benefit from this high profile not only through recognition of their expertise, but also from the important role that MASS plays within the RTA/PI claims industry.
We’re a non-profit making organisation with members based throughout England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. All our members undertake to obey the service standards stated in our Code of Conduct.
What we do
Our work
We’re more than just a membership society; with a strong and active policy arm lobbying to protect the rights of accident victims, we work collaboratively with Government departments, insurers and rehabilitation centres to give our members a voice in the conversations that matter.
We also offer crucial guidance to the public and activities that facilitate our members’ continuous professional development. Our partnerships with road safety charities and other organisations amplify MASS’ reach and commitment to road accident victims.
A small administrative team is responsible for the day to day running of our offices. They report into a Management Committee, elected by our members, that comprises a Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, 12 Regional Coordinators and an Executive Director.
Our Management Committee meets quarterly to discuss MASS policy, finances, feedback from regional members and activities, which range from responding to consultation papers and attending meetings on behalf of MASS, to dealing with enquiries from members and road traffic accident victims.
